DIMITRI

President

Adventurer and passionate about science from an early age,  Dimitri   likes to explore and understand the world around him. The sea is a place he particularly likes. Fishing allows him to observe this fragile and majestic environment, and he quickly becomes aware of the urgency at play in our oceans.
On returning to AgroParisTech, he will come across a presentation of SEA Plastics and realize that this project fits perfectly with his philosophy. That of studying, raising awareness and participating in a sailing adventure.

From the Indian Ocean to the Mediterranean, Lorraine grew up by the sea, and learned to dive from an early age. How not to feel concerned by the scourge of plastic pollution, when each dive brings its new batch of waste? She puts her studies on hold and swaps her pens for a mast and veils, to embark on this one-year adventure. Joining the open-heart operation that is the rescue of the most polluted sea on the planet is a challenge that cannot be refused. Combining challenges, adventure, encounters, science and ecology, the Sea Plastics project allows him to reconnect with his Mediterranean roots, while going to the forefront of a global fight for a just cause, but above all, urgent._cc781905-5cde-3194- bb3b-136bad5cf58d_

MANON

Secrétaire

Spontaneous, curious and sensitive to ecological issues, Manon has long been committed to reducing her environmental impact, in particular by using responsible means of transport. But that's not enough, and she wanted to get involved in a project that made sense to her. She therefore joined the crew of SEA Plastics, for the environmental actions carried out by the association, but also for the real adventure that this expedition represents.
She can't wait to promote this project and achieve the goals of the 2021 team!

Passionate about the ocean and concerned by current environmental issues, Hélène wishes to put all her energy into preserving ecosystems and protecting biodiversity. Curious to know the secrets of life, she has oriented her career towards biological engineering, is interested in biomimicry and wishes to integrate an ecological dimension into her professional project. She loves practicing outdoor sports (surfing, sailing, hiking), making new discoveries and going on adventures. SEA Plastics is an opportunity for her to get involved in LA cause that is closest to her heart, by combining values, knowledge and passion!

IRENE

Trésorière de l'association et responsable communication

A great fan of sailing holidays since  her childhood, Irène naturally fell in love with the SEA Plastics project. Her career as an engineer of life and the environment leads her to understand and apprehend ecosystems and their functioning. To fight against the immensity of the maritime pollution and its consequences on ecosystems, it seeks to act on its own scale by trying to_cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b-1365bade58d of plastic in their daily lives, and to make choices that respect the environment. This project is a way for her to devote her gap year to a cause that she places at the heart of her concerns.

"Our seas, our oceans are magnificent, their seabed is exploding with life and year after year we see their changes due to our pollution which is destroying this environment and its ecosystem."
